We’re here to bring hope, healing, and lasting change to Haiti and the Mississippi Delta—one relationship, one house, one life at a time.

Our Story

What began as one church’s response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti has grown into a powerful movement of hope. Inspired by a young man’s words—“that’s impossible”—and God’s response, “But God,” we’ve watched Him do extraordinary things through ordinary people. From building sustainable communities in Haiti to revitalizing neighborhoods in the Mississippi Delta, BGM exists to share the love of Christ and meet real needs—spiritual, physical, and emotional—where the world says there’s no way.

Haiti

In Haiti, But God Ministries began construction of a sustainable community in 2011 and now operates in two locations with 156 full-time Haitian employees. We run two medical clinics, one dental clinic, and two pharmacies, providing care to tens of thousands and delivering over 600 babies. We’ve built more than 300 homes, two churches, multiple water wells, and now serve over 2,500 students daily across seven schools. Our ministry includes Bible studies, VBS, worship services, and pastor conferences, alongside university partnerships with Auburn, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Ole Miss, Belhaven, and Loyola University of Chicago.

Mississippi Delta

In the Mississippi Delta, our work began in 2016 in Jonestown, MS. We’ve built a 6,000 sq. ft. Hope Center, a 4,000 sq. ft. Economic Development Center, and a baseball/softball complex in partnership with Major League Baseball. Our programs include legal clinics, dental care, afterschool education, Bible studies, VBS, and a housing initiative that helps residents become homeowners. With full-time leadership and hundreds of mission trip volunteers each year, our work continues to meet spiritual, physical, and economic needs—one family, one neighborhood at a time.

Our Work

But God Ministries is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, that shares the love of Jesus Christ through building sustainable communities around the world. We are currently building two sustainable communities in Haiti and one in the Miss. Delta.

The first Haitian community is in Galette Chambon which is about 17 miles east of Port-au-Prince near Ganthier, Haiti. The second Haitian community is called Thoman and is about a two hour drive east of Port-au-Prince near the border with the Dominican Republic.

The community where we are working in the Miss. Delta is Jonestown, MS which is located in the northwest part of Mississippi about 12 miles northeast of Clarksdale.

“With the help of our donors, we get to watch God do the impossible—restoring hope, healing hearts, and building something that lasts.”
